Leamington comedy fest is almost here

AS preparations get underway for the Leamington Comedy Festival at the Spa Centre, tickets to performances during the five-day event are already selling fast.

The venue in Newbold Terrace, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, will welcome a host of big name comedians - including Hardeep Sing Kohli, Henning Wehn, Lee Hurst, King Pleasure and The Biscuit Boys, Jerry Sadowitz and The Boy With Tape On His Face - as well as emerging talents from around the Warwickshire area.

Family shows will include Squashbox Theatre’s Stones and Bones and the Comedy Club 4 Kids, while the festival’s Comedy Cabaret Evening will feature Pete Firman, Mr B – The Gentleman Rhymer, Monkey Poet, Abigail Collins and proceedings led by glittering host Desmond O’Connor.
